Mental Health Awareness Week, 10 - 16 May 2021
In support of this extremely important campaign, Tourvest are encouraging their employees to take a moment to enjoy the simple things in life that we generally take for granted, to go outside and explore the beauty that can often be found right on our doorstep without even realising.
Studies have shown that going for a daily walk has been one of the main coping strategies for many during the pandemic. Exercise is known to have significant mental health benefits, reducing anxiety, depression and negative mood and improving cognitive function.
We will be “sharing nature” with our colleagues, submitting photos of our time outdoors that have made us smile and lifted our spirits, which is vital for our mental health and general well-being in these unprecedented times and will be encouraging our team to have “walking meetings” this week, as opposed to sitting behind a desk.
We will also be sharing a select number of photos here throughout the week which may just help to make your day a little brighter.
